If you read my blog that I wrote before the playoffs started, I predicted it could be the best of all time. In hindsight, it probably wasn't. This year's playoffs brought up more questions than it did answers. I want to keep this blog nice and short so I will not talk about the whole Lebron and the Heat Situation. In fact, I am just going to leave the finals out of this. If you have been living in a box for the last week or like hockey, the Mavs won the title, 1st in franchise history. I will talk about that in a future post.
Derrick Rose single handily beat the Pacers in the first round, then went on to beat the most annoying team in the league, the Hawks. The favorite to win the Western Conference was the Lakers as they started off well by beating the Hornets. (Chris Paul is officially my favorite player to watch.) However, they ran into an 7 foot giant. Some people call him the Germantor, swish, but we can all call him clutch. On a side note, what the fuck is wrong with Kobe? He looks like a grandpa on the court and he is only 32 years old. And to all the people who STILL thinks he is the best in the league. Shut up. Please. Ya he was good the last couple of years but he is not the best player in the league now. The Oklahoma City Thunder played very well and reached the Western Conference Finals. That team is super young. I normally hate it when people think that just because a team is young, that they will do well the next season. However, I think that the OKC thunder will only get better and Kevin Durant will have a breakout season. The Memphis Grizzlies were the most random team in this year's playoffs. Why? First they beat the top seeded Spurs. Easily. Most fans cant even name 3 player on this team. Then they took OKC to seven games. The funny part is that even though the Grizzlies were playing well, nobody really jumped on the bandwagon. It could be because they were from Memphis and nobody likes that city. Or that we all knew they would eventually lose and we wanted to see the Mavs, Lakers, or OKC win the west.
The NBA. Where the Unexpected Happens.
